<p>I'm a Junior in high school, 17 years old. I would like to become emt-b certified. I live in Illinois and am not sure of the requirements. I think it is 18 years of age. Also, I'm not sure how to go about obtaining the certification and where to begin. Any information would be great!</p>
<p>I'm getting my EMT certification when I turn 16 this summer. What I did is I contacted the local first aid squad, and they told me all I need to know (age requirements, classes to take, etc.). Just look at your town's website and they should have information about how to get in contact with the EMS.</p>
