Eng. Transfer Student - Applying Soon

Hey Guys,

I'm a semester away from attaining my AA in mechanical engineering from a Community College. I am beginning the motions to apply to Universities.

I am planning to move from mechanical to aerospace engineering. My current GPA is a 4.0 and I will have received my AA in just 3 semesters (overloading).

Now, the short list for Universities include: Univ. of Florida, Univ. of Central Florida, Univ. of Miami, Georgia Tech, Purdue, Cornell and possibly Stanford.

My question is the following: With UF or UCF i'll be forking over about 5k + Room and Board, in comparison to the others which will probably mean 25k + Room and Board. Is there a big enough cause for me to, of course if I get in, attend the latter of the schools?

Thanks,

I think it would be worth the extra 40-60k to attend one of the top schools instead of UCF and Univ of Miami, not University of Florida. It’s a top 20 school for aero and the benefits you would miss out on would probably not be worth the extra money. That would clearly be the best value. So unless you want to move out of Florida or something, I would go to Univ of Florida.

UF has the hottest women by far. Women + cheap = yes.

FSU and UF got 3rd and 4th places, respectively lol

I don’t know about pre-CC stats but your graduation CC stats are strong and I think you got a good shot at the schools you mentioned.

I would fork the extra money over, especially for Stanford or GAtech.
