Are there any majors that combine the two or joint degree programs that include the two?

I know they are very diffrent but they are also very similar in some ways...

Financial Engineering.

I'm looking into this also, and I know that both Lehigh and Penn have joint degree programs in engineering and business (although both of these programs are very selective).

Financial engineering is more finance than traditional engineering.

Some schools offer an engineering management degree. However, this is usually an advanced degree, not a BS.

I suggest getting a B.S. in a traditional engineering discipline (ME, EECS, CE, ChemE) and then pursue an MBA.

Vanderbilt's School of Engineering offers a popular minor in engineering management. It has a brand new financial engineering program which I think is offered as a minor in conjunction with computer science, which is a major in the engineering school. I'm not sure about the details of the financial engineering program; check the VUSE website if you are interested.

I am pretty sure I have no chance at Penn or Lehigh. But I will look into my options.

Lehigh isnt as hard to get into as people think. A friend of mine did pretty well and got into eng. Not a rockstar student by any means, but solid.

I'm actually at RIT right now in the ET program. I still not 100% sure I want to do both but I like engineering and business.
