Engineering classes

I plan on getting my A.A. in high school, but when I transfer to the college that the community college is linked to, I will only have up to PreCalculus. Since I will be starting out on Calculus 1, do you think I will have to do a full four years for my engineering degree? I will also have chemistry done also. I do not mind spending extra time since I am still young, but If I can do it in less than four, will a double major be a good choice? (computer and electrical) Or should I just do a minor in computer science? I have strong interests in both subjects (EE a little bit more) , and the minor/ extra major will be just for my own personal gain. Thanks!

Most people start in calculus 1. You aren’t ahead. You will likely take the full 4 years, which is not “extra time.”

@boneh3ad thanks!

My D started freshmen with Calc 3 and yet, it will take at least 3.5 years for her to graduate (even she got 70 credits already after freshmen year). While the typical engineering schedule starts with Calc 1 and one may graduate in 4 year (8 semesters). So there are many factors that may affect the number of years to graduate while starting with Calc 1 is not the issue.
