What is a good minor to compliment biomedical engineering if I'm planning on going to medical school? I'm considering something either in Humanities or Social Sciences. Also, what sort of jobs are available in the medical field for a biomed major right out of college?

If you're going to be an engineering major, you will probably not be able to do a humanities minor due to engineering programs' stringent requirements (unless you have some sort of unusual burning desire to do so). Out of college, you can probably find jobs in biotech.

I agree with GoldShadow. Finding a social science or humanities job would be tough with an engineering major. You might be able to find a biotech job, but it won't pay very well. Most jobs require a masters- at least.

What about:

Major: Operations Research and Information Engineering
Minor: Communications

? too much?
I'm in high school, so I'm just throwing ideas around. I do want something dealing with business and engineering. While still going for pre-med.

God, it'll take a miracle to satisfy me!

If your goal is to go to medical school, I suggest not doing engineering. Engineering applicants usually have the lowest gpa because of the hard engineering classes. If you really want to do business+engineering, why not try industrial engineering?

It's regarded as the easiest engineering major.
