Engineering or Mathematics

I am 3 semesters from finishing my AS in Engineering at my local community college. My original plan was to attend a 2+2 online completion program from 1 of 2 colleges, however due to money this is no longer an option. The local university offers a BS in Mathematics with an concentration in Statistics and also has a BS in Engineering Sciences with an emphasis in Engineering Managment. If I choose the math major I would minor in Computer Science if I go with the Eng major I would minor in Applied Statistics.

My ultimate goal is to become a Supply Chain Manager or even Director, however numerous companies require a BS in Business, Engineering, or Math for these position and I have even been informed by 2 prospective empolyers that while my experience [12 years] is extensive the final deciding factor was that the person they choose had a degree and I did not. Which one of these degrees would be most beneficial to my pursuit of this position?

Engineering science with specialty in engineering management would probably be the lesser of the two. You can’t be an Engineering manager with out first being an engineer. Since you want supply chain management wouldn’t a Business area degree be better? Engineering science is kinda a pseudo engineering in most schools.
