Engineering school SAT II requirement

I noticed that I need to take 2 subject tests (1 math level and 1 science). I have taken math lv2 already but I still need to fulfill the science requirement. I haven't taken any of the AP science classes yet ( I am taking all 3 this year) so I don't have a strong foundation in any of the subjects; I was wondering which one (Bio, Chem, Physics) is easiest to self-learn and score well on. Thanks!

I was in a similar situation. I assume you’ve at least taken basic courses in all 3 so far? I felt I was the best at physics, and it was the one I had most recently taken, so I bought a Princeton Review book and studied the chapters we had not covered yet over the summer. I don’t know about your class, but my intro to physics class had covered roughly half of the material on the exam. The SAT Physics only covers the stuff from AP Physics B though, nothing from what would be considered Physics C.

I can’t compare to the other two exams, but it went pretty well for me. Although I felt that my understanding of certain things conceptually was limited at best (Kirchoff’s Rules, Lenz’s Law, etc), just by knowing the equations and having a vague idea what to do I somehow managed to scrape an 800, despite leaving about 10 questions blank and being quite unsure on a number of others. Plus, it helped prepare me for Physics C my senior year.

As I said, I can’t speak for chemistry or biology, but I don’t think your average non-AP course would cover everything tested by the SAT. I would gloss over the topics listed on the Sparknotes review for the exam for each, and pick the exam to take based on which you are the best at/which you remember the best/which you would have to study the least. Then buy a book and use the Sparknotes online and try to prepare yourself over the summer.

That doesn’t directly answer your question, but I don’t think I’m really able to do that (having not taken all three exams). Best of luck!

It depends on which subject u found easiest. Assuming u took intro classes.
