My cousin’s son got a big scholarship from Delaware, which made it the most affordable opportunity for him. He had a great 4 years there and went on to NYU Law.

Before declining any schools, I would ask them if they have sent out all merit/aid that your son is eligible for. It could be that some schools will end up sending you an offer that might make it a stronger contender than it currently is.
