How is the engineering school at UVM? I know the school is famous for environmental science and sustainability efforts. I saw USNews & Reports did not rank UVM’s engineering school. Can anyone comment on the quality of education there and also whether there is any convergence between enviro and science/tech/computer engineering fields at UVM?
It’s ranked 124 for Undergraduate Engineering. For Engineering Grad school, Civil is ranked 81, and Environmental 75 - likely a decent indicator of Undergrad in those areas. They do have an Engineering Management program…I am sure you can do some interdisciplinary work to get a combined minor and such.
It’s ranked 124 out of how many? What’s the source? Do you know if the program will give a good foundation before going on for a grad school?
@ILikePlants source is US News Undergraduate rankings, I have subscription so access to their detailed rankings.
Re foundation? Hard to answer that questuion, depends upon how smart you are, time you spend in undergrad years, what area you are studying, and what grad school and area you’re interested in…
we were just there and at UMass for engineering. UVM engineering facilities are not great now…BUT…they will have a new facility builkt by 2017/18. That will help attract better faculty and students.
