Engineering Schools

Hey, I've recently decided to major in Computer Science, so I decided to compile a list of schools with good engineering programs to guide me in my college search. Some other factors i've been looking for are a low student-teacher ratio, freshman classes that are taught by professors and not TAs, and a sizeable population of fellow geeks :) (although that shouldn't be a problem at any engineering school). A high percentage of asians might also be nice (i'm indian, and i'm one of very few indians in my high school, having more people with my background would be cool). So here's my current list.

Carnegie Mellon University
Harvey Mudd
Caltech
Cornell
Stanford University
MIT
Rice University

Any schools you would like to add based on the above criteria? Any schools you would take off? Any information you want about me and my preferences before making a suggestion?

ucla and berkeley ? lot's of asians in those schools haha

there are lots of aisians in just about any engineering college

University of Michigan... Purdue...UIUC

Are you looking for Computer Science or Computer Engineering as a major?

If I were you I would maybe think about Capital College it's located in Laurel, MD which is really close to Washington DC. I would guess by it's location that there would be a large mix of various minorities which would be cool for you.

Thanks for the replies. And macattack, i'm looking for Computer Science as a major, i'm more interested in the software side of computers, and i've heard it's (usually) easier than computer engineering :P. I'll look further into the schools you guys posted.
