What do you have to be good at to major in engineering? (specifics, please)

it depends on which type of engineering you’re talking about . But all of engineering requires a good background in physics/math and chem

You must be good at getting things done to be a good engineer. That means figuring things out, paying attention to detail, leaerning new things that are need to be known in order to make the right decisions, and to know when you should get someone else to do something for you because you lack the ability or time to learn that something in order to get the things done you need to have done… run on sentence?

Yes, being good at learning is a very nice core trait to have as an engineer. Because of this you may pick up the sciences quicker.

Still, you need to be good at working with others, identifying their strengths, and utilizing them toward their strengths.

You also need to be good at solving problems. This requires facilitating solutions, not so much as having the answer but as “figuring it out”.

You also need to be good at time management. He who gets the most done fastest wins…
