The English department has not posted any descriptions for the ENGL 1270 courses, Introduction to Literary Criticism, and I was wondering if anyone on here had any experiences with these courses. I am currently signed up for ENGL 1230 and 1260 (depending on whether I receive AP credit from this year’s exam), but I am considering adding the 1270 class instead because the title is somewhat more intriguing. I am planning to add English as a second major, so I would appreciate any feedback. Thank you!
I don’t know anything about the course, but there’s never any harm in enrolling in extra classes you may be interested in. There’s an add-drop period in the first couple weeks of the semester. Enrolling in extra hours gives you the freedom to drop any classes/professors you don’t like after attending a few lectures and getting the syllabus which outlines all the topics and assignments.
