How does one "study" for Lit other than reviewing literary terms and themes of major books?

There’s not much you can do to study for it I think, you just need to
A) Become a good essay writer under pressure, which means write lots of short essays and timed writings
B) Understand the techniques authors use in their works. Theme is just one of the few things you might be asked about on the AP test, there’s also character, point of view, and many more.
C) UNDERSTAND POETRY!!! It’s half of the AP test.
D) Reread a work with literary merit (preferably that you enjoy) before the test, as you’ll be asked to write about a book of your choosing.
E) Do some practice multiple choice throughout the year.

I’m currently enrolled in an AP Lit class, and for it, we are starting the year by going through AP Boot camp, where we’re reading from How to Read Literature Like a Professor and Writing about Literature, and then applying this information to essays we write. If you’re not currently enrolled in an AP Lit class, I’d suggest getting copies of those books.
