<p>Does that Professor know you on a very personal level? If so, then you're fine, if otherwise, don't bother sending it.</p>
<p>You're families situation definitely helps you out ACT/SAT fine, GPA is not good, and ranking is not good. Get yourself into an interview and explain that, and you should be fine.</p>
<p>I mean your situation is disadvantaged and you still managed to get a 30 on the ACT. Which by conversion is about a 2010, 90+ Percentile. Great SAT II scores, slightly low GPA but with reasons and upward trend sort of proves it.</p>
