I was reading through the enrichment opportunities on:
https://mitadmissions.org/apply/prepare/enrichment/
, and read the section on the International Science Olympiads. I was surprised to see that International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO) was not listed as one of the major olympiads, though it is a major accomplishment.
Does anyone know whether or not MIT values the IESO as a prestigious award, or is it not treated as an international award to the same extent as the other olympiads?
Who knows? If you like Earth Science, just go for it. It’d be a good use of your time anyway to study something you love
