Is it for the whole year or for the semester???
I put the loan as $1000 for perkins and $3500 for subsidized and wasnt sure if it was for the semester or whole year??
You only need to complete the Loan Entrance Counseling and Master Promissory Note once throughout the 4 years you are in school. If you are referring to the amounts it is asking you to input on the Entrance counseling - it doesn’t matter. You will input a value and move on to the next section. The counseling is only a tool to help you understand how borrowing a loan will impact you in the future. It will help you understand the loan process better if you put the amounts you were awarded for the year, as it will help you get an idea of how much you will need to pay back. Does this make sense?

Yes, the amounts you input have no bearing on what you were actually awarded and do not change your award in anyway. You can use the tool to estimate what your payments might look like if you borrow the same amount for four years - for example. But really, you can input any figure and move on.
