Entrepreneurism at the undergrad level

<p>How common is it for <em>undergraduates</em> to start their own technology firms? I know about SUN, Google,Yahoo, etc., but I was just wondering if something similar happens at the undergrad level. Also, does Stanford's proximity to Sand Hill Road have any impact on the number of student-founded startups or the entreprenurial spirit in general?</p>

<p>EDIT: I know MIT has an entrepreneurs club. Does Stanford have something similar?</p>
