Environment related Jobs/ majors

i'm hoping for job in environmental science, env engineering, etc. like a job in the epa or something. in college im taking 2 courses, environmental science and and chemical engineering. while im searching thru majors on college board, i came across engineering sciences.

so.... my question is what is the diffrence between chemical engineering and engineering sciences which major(i.e, chemical engineering or engineering sciences) should i take, which is more useful, interms of actually getting a decent post/salary in the future in companies like epa, which major would companies prefer.

If you are interested in EPA opportunities, take a look at [Find Jobs | EPA Careers | US EPA](http://www.epa.gov/ohr/careers/search.html) and see what major(s) each listing prefers/requires.

For differences between specific Engineering majors, I suggest the Engineering forum.

Environmental science is a pretty broad phrase and there’s a number of potential career paths coming out of it, depending on what you choose to focus on. If you’re interested in ecosystem interactions, you could work for a land management agency as part of a team that is charged with maintaining and improving the environmental quality of national forests, parks, wildlife refuges and other public lands.
