Anyone have insight into this major?

im signed up for it next year and i really dont know what it is

A lot of students come into Berkeley having a general idea of what they want, only to find out that there are plenty more things they did not know exist to be had. There are so many majors at Cal and I, too, don't know what most of them entail. When you find something half-interest but don't know what's up, your best option is to look at the list of courses required for that major and look through the course listing catalog. If you find that, "Hey, most of these courses look interesting!" then that major might be right for you.

I have no working knowledge of Environmental Economics and Policy, but I briefly read up on it at their website. As listed, it's an interdisciplinary major that incorporates elements of the colleges CNR and L&S, which is an interesting concept. If you look through the courses, it appears that this major is a cross between Geography, Economics, and Legal Studies. So if you are interested in the economic impact of changes in the environment, and want to apply this knowledge towards public policy, then this major is right for you.

That's all I got. Anything further than that, you are on your own.

Best of luck,
TTG
