Epgy...

hey, I wanna take their linear algebra course, but how do I register/get the prerequiste in?
I just pasted Calculus II at a local college, so if I wanna get into that class online, how should I do it?

I'm new to this program... so how does it work?

I mean, do I fax my transcript ?

Contact EPGY. The phone number is listed on the website. They can explain the pre-req and registration requirements. If admin doesn't know, click on courses, mathematics, university-level courses. You'll find a link to e-mail the person in charge of the U-L math department. He is very helpful.

there are entry requirements for the program, but not really prereqs for the courses. Once you are in they will pretty much let you take whatever course you want to without proof that you've done any particular prior courses. (this is what I was told several years ago when I checked into a similar question for my son. I doubt if it's changed).

Manyof EPGY's math courses have prereqs. Linear algebra requires multivariable differential calculus or equivalent. Check with the math department to see if a course you have taken is considered equivalent.

alrite, thanks to everyone who put their time in gettin back to me :)

I'll contact them and see how it works.

They definitely have prereqs in the sense that they want you to have covered certain material before you go on. But I don't think they require a transcript or an official course. What they told me is that they would take our word for what my son had self-studied and let him simply register for the course we believed would come next.

one quick note...the office is closed until January 3rd, and apply for financial aid...unless your parents make over $100,000 they are very generous with financial aid and it doesn't hurt to try. They also have a school program where the school pays for access if they don't offer a course.

yea, I'll try. Thanks for bring FA up.
