<p>So i have to looking into ERAU lately mostly because my dad went there and he seemed to really like it and i would like to become an air traffic controller, but i dont have the best grades: GPA 2.5, and my SAT score was a 1400, but i do alot of extracurricular activities like varsity soccer, and other sports and im a life scout (that should help), just wondering what my chances are, Thanks</p>
<p>I don't think anyone is ever on this board lol. I'm also looking at Embry-Riddle. They seem to be pretty selective. Not sure if you would be very competitive. It is also very expensive if you take flying courses too. I'm not sure though. You could always call them. I'm looking to go there on an Air Force ROTC scholarship if I don't get into the Air Force Academy.</p>

<p>You have a pretty good chance of getting in, even with your GPA and SAT score. Here's why I know you have a chance:</p>
<p>My brother got in (surprisingly) with a 2.6 GPA, a lower SAT score than yours, with no EC's except for tennis (Which he sucks at), no volunteer hours, nothing special what so ever, sucks at math, and science, but wants to be an aerospace engineer and somehow got accepted. I think they're in for the money, because I still CANNOT believe he got in. He's a video gamer and did nothing in high school but, play computer games. If you want to be an engineer the tuition is VERY expensive, so apply for scholarships and/or financial aid. </p>
<p>Something you should have though: GOOD teacher recommendations. I think that helped my brother a lot with his application. Even though he did awful in math, the teacher loved him (very quiet student) and wrote a GREAT letter to the university recommending him. So make sure you have a good teacher, that actually likes you, write an excellent recommendation to the university.</p>
<p>If this is your 1st choice school, you should have a good chance of getting in. Just make sure you application is good. I've been to the campus for my brother's student orientation and I loved it. The student atmosphere was great, everyone seemed knowledgeable in their field, and most importantly, everyone, including the professors seem welcoming and nice. It is a very nice school and if you do get accepted - definitely don't blow it.</p>
<p>I too am interested in ERAU. I'm concerned about the distance and after reading these posts the validity of its students. But I think its a great school anyways. Packermatt, did you attend Summer Seminar for the AFA?</p>
