I don't do predictions, but you have a lot to learn...browse CC and see what others say about limiting yourself to only the top colleges. In addition, there usually seems to be a big difference b/t predictions and what happens.

With that said, I adivse you to research TASP and RSI ASAP. They're both really good programs.

I hate to say this and I hope that you won't get offended or anything but frankly what you are doing right now is a mistake. You shouldn't be planning out your entire life freshman year in high school. There is a huge difference between starting to casually study for the SAT and obsessing over it. Even if you are perfect you could still be easily rejected from any one of those schools. These colleges aren't looking for the perfect cookie cutter applicant. They are looking for someone with passion and a genuine interest in what they do. So don't do things "just because it will look good on the resume". Colleges will be able to see right through that.

I am only speaking because I did pretty much what you are doing right now. Starting freshman year I planned out every class that I would take in high school, and every club that I would join, and every office that I would hold, and every job that I would work at, and that I would graduate in the top 3%. I was convinced that I wouldn't be happy unless I was accepted into Georgetown or Brown. In the first week of senior year I realized my mistake. My blood pressure was through the roof I no longer cared about Georgetown or Brown and and I hadn't even started dealing with college applications. I managed to fix my class schedule and eventually fell in love with Rice University.

All I am saying is that you can't realistically select your college freshman year. I now realize that if I had gone to Georgetown and Brown that I would have been miserable. I was blinded by the "fancy name" and was not particularly paying attention to what I really wanted in a university. I mean you still need to make good grades and take AP classes but don't plan your life now. You will only regret it in a few years.

wow....your a freshmen and your already positive that you will get 235-2400 sats and be top three in your class........................you have no idea what is going to happen in the future.....lots of people who have really high gpas bomb their sats because they are not good test takers....whats makes you so sure you will get 2350? your a freshmen at high school................and how do you know you will be a president of a club?......i was on track my whole life and my coach still didnt make me captain though i deserved it...i too thought i will be captain even last year but that was proved wrong.............so dont predict anything because i can say:
what are my chances at graduate school
i am going to go to harvard...i have a 3.9 gpa.......i will be valedectorian in harvard of my class.........i will student council president.....captain of the football team............and blah blah blah...............SO SERIOUSLY WHAT ARE MY CHANCES?.....and im a hs senior

I see and understand your fascination with those four schools (you're like the way I am about Princeton - before I cam on CC, i thought my life would implode if I didnt go to Princeton). However, you are just going to have to accept the fact that those schools are reaches and you shouldnt bet more than a dollar on getting in, no matter who you are. There are lots of other great schools (trust me, there are - freshman year I would have protested but now I know, the world doesnt revolve around HYPS).
That said, I cans ee you are trying to do everything in your power to get in so the only advice I would say is keep up the good work. However, keep in mind you are going to change a TON in the next few months itself. The summer transition between my frshman and sophomore year was huge and now I am a totally new person. My interests and goals and likes and dislikes and even my fiends have all completely changed. Even my ECs have changed a lot. Basically, what Im saying is, no matter how hard you try to predict and plan your life, it isnt going to turn out like you plan.

ummm sry guys -but i just really wanted to know with those stats - i know i can ace the sat's cuz ive done it before i a perfect math in all the princeton practice math tests and a 770-790 in verbal, well writing i also got 790s in writing so i think i can do those things

trust me ive had loads of practice with sats

so please tell me guys with those stats

and yes schoolisnotforfools i do play gigs - so far ive played at about 3 weddings and 2 restaurants - and im thinking of starting a band - we got 2 guitars, 1 bass and now we just need a drummer

i know its sad, im planning things now - but lets just assume with those stats k?

ALSO I KNOW IM COUNTING MY CHICKENS BEFORE THEY HATCH

im not some kind of no-lifer lol, i made the football team but dropped out cuz there were too many practice - 4 hrs for 4 days per week

You're biggest job will be to make your ECs less school oriented and have more impact in your community and the world. For those schools perfect GPA/SATs just doesn't do it.

Even if you make those stats, keep something in mind:

There's a bunch of 2400/4.0uw/5.0w/valedictorians/8 club captains/4 club founders/cancer curers that will be rejected, and will have no idea why. Don't hinge your efforts on trying to get there. Sure, it's cool if you want to go there, but anyone apply to both Yale and MIT? They're so different. Look more into the schools than their prestige, just because a school is top ranked doesn't mean you'll automatically love it. I suggest that if you make a list this early, you base it on reaches (such as MIT and Stanford), matches (if you end up with stats like that, you'll have great schools that you can match up to), and safeties. Think about more than getting into the absolute top school. I was doing what you're doing, but then I learned that I had to find what attracted me to a school besides its name. That's what you might want to look into. If what you say about your SATs are true, then keep your skillz. It's easier to predict a good SAT score, but your GPA is much harder to predict, so work hard if you want what you've projected, cause it's seroiusly way too early.

You've got a decent shot if those stats pan out, but far from certain still.

I'll warn you, though, that was pretty much my predicted stats when I entered HS, and four years of toil later, I fell short of them (close, but not totally there). The good news is I still did okay. Just work hard, amigo, and you'll do fine too.
