I just finished my commonapp essay and it is about surfing. I am very passionate about it but now I am concerned it will reflect bad. Will this hurt my chances at landlocked schools such as Baylor, U Denver, U Michigan, and Northeastern They have always been some of my dream schools.
If it is well written and shows you, you are fine. It sounds interesting to me.
It may help more at a coastal college but shouldn’t hurt you at land locked schools.
Texas has good surf spots not too far from Baylor. You can go there on weekends.
