Essay Help !

<p>Would it hurt my college application if I wrote about a REALLY personal event? And I'm thinking of something along the lines of a teenage relationship-related event that actually forced me to turn around and change a lot of things about myself. I'm worried it may be too explicit/awkward for adcoms to read.. What do you think?</p>
