Hello, I am planning on applying to Loyola as a 4.0 uw, 31 ACT, 250+ volunteer hours, state-qualified XC runner and am wondering what my chances are for both the school and merit FA.

I am also extremely confused by the "essay" portion. Can I just copy and paste an "example of my writing" from some assignment I've done in the past, or do I have to write an actual essay? If so, what about?

Wiscongene, with your stats and extra-curriculars, you shouldn’t have any problem being accepted to Loyola University Chicago.

My daughter was also confused by the requirements of the essay section, but since the instructions clearly stated that she could submit either a “personal statement” or a “writing sample,” she decided to submit her Common App essay as a writing sample.
