<p>First off how many essays should I write if im applying to Harvard?</p>

<p>Also, is hardship (divorce of parents, displacement, etc.) a good essay topic?</p>

<p>Writing about Debate in accordance with wanting to be a poliSci major</p>

<p>Or leadership skills learned through being in band and an officer (in this can i write about my failure to be elected my junior year due to popularity, and the guy who beat me was the worst officer ever.. according to the band director)</p>

<p>All topics seem very, very generic. </p>

<p>Be creative. It doesn’t have to jerk a tear, make them laugh, be about your intended major, or about your mass inspiring leadership skills. </p>
