So I wrote my MIT essay about how I hated going to language school and broke it up by age and how I now love going. Is this bad...should I rewrite? Cause I kind of want to do the other essay instead (describe the world where you come from). HELP!

Well I probably can't judge without actually reading your essay, but that topic doesn't seem so bad to me. Go with your gut. Choose whichever one you think reveals more about yourself and is/will be better written.

i'll take a peak at it for you

yeah, I feel like I start off with a good idea or like hook, but I have a really general qestion and I feel like its a stupid one, but do are essays necessarily have to focus on one event and be a narrative sort of thing, or can they be a general quality we like that we have...because I wanted to write one for Yale about how I like that I'm imbalanced and appreciate that quality in the world.
