essays..

wondering which essay i should send for the common app…theres one about my mom and why i want to do writing and all…the thing is ive mentioned im a muslim in that…the second essay ive talked about my literary influences (camus) and what got me into writing and also why i wanna do it…dont know which one to send…any suggestions?

they say that for international students (dont know if it just applies to muslims) its better to come off as atheist…ive sort of gone the other way since ive mentioned it. ive tried to come across as moderate…sort of, trying to embrace rather than deny it and all…

anyone know what bard looks for in the essays? all my other stuff is good.good rank and gpa and all… also, i got a 2050 on my SAT. should i send it. its optional right… so i dont need to send it.would it be good policy to send it though? cuz its kinda average.

i don't think they're looking for atheists, i think they are looking for you to be yourself and to write well. i wrote about growing up jewish but personally being an atheist for the "last argument" essay and i got in. still, i think you being different will work to your advantage (assuming you write well)

I hope being an atheist helps, my essay includes the fact that I'm an atheist.

I'm agnostic, but I didn't mentain it. I got in regardless.

i really don't think it matters what you are as long as your essay is passionate and you write well
