Lol, why. I wear polos all the time.

this thread is ridiculous now.

it was ridiculous after the first three pages....

i bet if you combined all of the posts that actually addressed my original question (thanks much by the way), it wouldnt be longer than 2 pages. oh well, at least it was somewhat entertaining

well..tell us! what five colors did you decide on?

Pink is for people who are just concerned with looking ostentatious. If you want to be looked at by everyone (in both positive AND negative light) then go ahead and wear pink.

But the thing is, there are plenty of "low key" colors which look JUST AS GOOD. And you don't get the rep of someone who wears stuff just to show off.

I think it's much better to look attractive in a royal or navy blue polo than a pink one. It makes it seem like you aren't trying as hard. And that's good.

And a thing regarding brand logos: j crew has nice polos w/out logos. So try them out if you want.

j crew does have nice polos..but what is wrong with logos?

I personally don't have a huge problem with them. But some people on this thread expressed some concern.

logos can be tacky.

I don't really want some random guy to know where I shop.....etc.

The best quality products never come with logo.

^depends on the item... i have some dior shoes that have the logo on the side; and designer ties and belts most of them with the logos too...

Take a look at the Ralph Lauren Purple Label offering, there's never a logo. On Polo Ralph Lauren (which is high quality, but not best), there are plenty of belts/ties with the ponies on them.

Logos can be tacky, it depends on how you wear them.

I saw these two guys on metro train, both in A&F baseball cap, A&F shirt, A&F shorts, and A&F flip flops. Every piece of item has the logo on it. Extremely tacky. They probably think they are "so cool" and "so preppy". LMAO. wanna look really preppy with that money you have? J.Press and Andovershop. and flip flops are not preppy, pseudo preppy maybe, california fashion.
