I was admitted a little over a month ago to UT Austin's College of Liberal Arts as a freshman OOS student. UT is one of my top choices, but since I'm OOS, it's really expensive. Or at least I thought it was... I know the range for UT Austin is from like $33,000 - $45,000 per school year or something around that. Is it true that for the College of Liberal Arts the full tuition/board/etc. cost is around $33,000 (or close to the lower end of the range)? I've been looking around the university website and that's what I found, but I'm afraid that I might not be understanding it correctly or missing something. Help? Thank you!

Yeah, its around there. I got in for Communications. It is about $32,000 a year for me, then add in $10,000 for housing, and a couple thousand for other expenses (books, transportation, etc.)

Thanks for the help! I kept thinking that it would only cost $32,000 WITH housing. I’m not even sure if I can go to UT now because they only gave me $23,000 in straight up loans for financial aid. Looking into financial aid for Udub right now.

According to this, [The University of Texas at Austin (UT) - Freshman Support - ■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■.com](http://www.■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■.com/ut/#financial/tuition/), tuition is around $31,000/year for Lib Arts OOSers. They have a budget planner tool, too, so you can see the true cost of attendance, including things like tuition, housing, entertainment and food prices in Austin, etc. As a current UT-Austin Lib Arts student, congrats! It can be pretty tough for OOSers. What major did you apply for?
