Ethics courses required in college

From a lot of current events and so on, it seems like a lesson in ethics is quite vital to have.

Is there anyone here who is attending a business school where an ethics course is required to graduate?

I hardly doubt anyone goes to such a school, it's seems rare but would be interesting to find out which schools do this.

^ My daughter’s school has “business ethics” as a core requirement for all business undergrads.

Also due to the CPA education requirement changes in CA in 2014, an ethics course specifically in the area of accounting is required. She told me the school is going to offer a new “accounting ethics” or equivalent next year for Juniors, so they can fulfill the CPA requirement.

Here at BC, freshman are required to take a business ethics course.

nope, my school doesnt require it although you can take it as an elective.

thats alright with me though. people are either ethical or are not. i seriously doubt that making it a requirment will increase the morals of new graduates.

Well it probably won’t make sweeping improvements, but such classes will likely sway at least a good handful of students towards making ethical decisions down the road.

I took a media ethics course last semester. It was very interesting and informative. I even kept the required text, which I usually don’t do.

My school requires everyone to take an ethics/moral class. You don’t have to take business ethics, but it is an option.
