The cracked pepper triscuits are the best, my favorite!
Roomba has made our life and allergies SO much better! We love clean floors but don’t like vacuuming!
Great idea for a thread. I have not heard of some of the items posted. I guess anything I can think of I already would think people knew.
When I first got a steam mop I was very happy and telling everyone about it, got my mother one too. Bissell steam mop very inexpensive and washable terrycloth bootie.
I want to try Baby Foot. Question for people who have tried it. How long are your feet baby soft before you have to do the peel again?
My car had what I first thought were white colored bird droppings on my car’s paint finish. I tried rubbing off with car soap and water after a few days and the droppings wouldn’t come off and I thought the droppings had eaten into clearcoat and ruined my car. The droppings were actually sorta gooey and smelled like pine and may not have been bird droppings but pine sap dripping from trees where I’d been parking under…not sure if the droppings were from tree or something birds had been eating. Anyway I read on internet to try plain old 70% rubbing alcohol to remove sticky pine from car paint finish with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol…did and it worked great getting pine stuff off car without damaging finish one bit…Eureka!
Just ordered Baby Foot. Do I need to use anything like a pumice stone or foot file once the peeling begins, or do I just try to ignore the layers of skin sloughing off? @doschicos
Thanks for the pine sap tip! I have had some sap on my car for months, so I will be happy to give this a try!
I believe you are supposed to ignore the layers sloughing off and ignore the temptation to pull-'n-peel.
I’d like to try babyfoot, but I’m thinking it might be best to wait until sandal/barefoot season is over…
I like the Rye Triscuits, great with havarti cheese! My son likes the Balsamic and Basil ones.
I am trying baby foot right now!
I put it on thursday, after soaking my feet for an hour.
It took off my nail polish! It supposedly works best if you soak your feet everyday for an hour.
Today I went swimming, so I hope that counts. I wouldn’t try and shave skin off, because I have high pain tolerance as well as some neuropathy, so some parts are numb.
I like green tea too, 88jm19, but after my required coffee in the morning, Ive been drinking Tulsi Tea.

I think I have some of the e-cloths. My SIL gave them to me. Have to admit, I have not used them. Hard to get mentally past NOT using any cleaner! I mean, how do you KNOW it’s working??
@lizard - my D3’s car was covered in thousands of tiny spots of golden pine sap from Ponderosa Pines. We scraped off the glass parts with windex and a spatula. For the painted areas, we used a generic brand of Purell on microfiber cloth. It took some elbow grease, but they all came off with no damage to the paint!
One online source said to use baby oil. Ick, didn’t work.
For DIY chandelier cleaning, fill a spray bottle with 1 part isopropyl rubbing alcohol, 3 parts water, and a drop or two of dishwasher rinse aid. Spray liberally and work from the top down, wiping with a microfiber cloth.
If your lamp is more metal than crystal, brush from the top down with a soft 2" wide paintbrush to remove dust, and wipe any crystals with a microfiber cloth that you spray with a little windex.
I think people who order Baby Foot need to start a thread and give us waiters the 411 on how it works for you and yur method for using it - is it only available by ordering online??
By the pics, yeah, looks like I would not want to try it until I wasn’t going to wearing sandals anymore (for a week or more!)
Here’s baby foot on Amazon with lots of answered questions and very informative reviews on how it should be done.

For Baby Foot, you soak your feet in water for about an hour before use. Then, you put the booties on for about an hour. I did while watching a movie because walking around in the boots is kind of slippery so best to just sit there during the process. For best results, its recommended that you soak you feet daily over the next week. I didn’t do that until a week or so later when I wasn’t seeing a whole lot of results and then did it, and the peeling commenced. Next time, I will soak daily over that week period to maximize my results.
I know it’s working because my windows are clean?
My mom gave them to me as a “silly” Christmas gift so they sat unused for a while…but now I’m hooked.
Love Aveeno make up remover wipes. They get makeup off quickly, no scrubbing around eyes. And moisurizing too!
@HImom - I second the Roomba. I bought one as a housewarming present for my son as his house has wood laminate floors. My daughter and her husband just bought their first house and it has dark hard wood floors and they have 3 cats. I bought them one as a housewarming present also (they love it). When I was ordering it I decided to treat myself. OMG, why did I not do this before. I have Jeeves set to run every day and am amazed how much he picks up even running daily (I certainly never vacuumed daily!). I definitely see a big improvement in my chronic sinus problems. Love my Roomba!
