Eureka! Why didn't I "discover" these products sooner?!

Do you ever come across an item that’s been around for awhile and wonder why it wasn’t in your life earlier? What products have given you an Eureka! moment?

Products I’ve started using in the past 6 months that I love:

Bar Keeper’s Friend: I got new pots and pans and have started using this to clean them, as well as my sinks, etc. What a great product! So much better than Ajax or Comet. Not sure why it took me so long to “discover” it as its been around FOREVER!

Dill, Sea Salt & Olive Oil Triscuits: I’ve always hated triscuits, then I had this flavor at someone’s house and now I am addicted to these. Great with an aged, sharp cheddar.

Baby Foot Foot Peel: Thank you CC members for mentioning this product. Tried it and it worked great!

If you like Bar Keepers friend…try straight Baking Soda on your pans. That’s what I’ve used to clean mine for years. Great stuff…and you can’t beat the price.

For me, it is a bit embarrassing, but I never knew that such things as Brita Filters existed.

Back home, I never heard anything about filters. To my surprise, I discovered that, hey, tap water can be drinkable! It was a pleasant surprise, if a bit delayed on my part.

I’ve been using Brita for decades! Love my Brita water and it keeps nice and cold in the fridge. We drink so much the biggest problem is keeping it filled.

I dont shave my legs that often, but Barbasol shaving cream is my favirite. Its very dense, plus it is always cheao!
This is a new product, but Im sold!
I am trying an e-cloth, polishing cloth, made to be used with only water and it is fantastic!

Color catchers! Thanks to the cc community.

The never-mt! Buy a giant container of hand soap or dish soap, stick it under your kitchen sink and run the never-mt tube from the container directly to your sink soap dispenser.

The e-cloth - I’m in love. I think I actually said out loud…“Windex, you’re fired”

Mr Clean Magic Erasers. I don’t know how those things work, but they do. On EVERYTHING.

ETA: Lipton Cold-Brew tea bags. Cold, fresh iced tea in 2 minutes. Yum.

haven’t tried the dill ones, but Roasted Garlic Triscuits are addictive! Good plain, with cheese, and even with peanut butter on 'em.

Cracked Peppercorn Triscuits are addicting.

Bar Keeper’s friend is very useful. The active ingredient is oxalyic acid. It’s a miracle lightener for black water stains in wood, just make a paste with water and let it sit. It’s also great for rust stains.

I love Bar Keeper’s friend! I have All-Clad stainless cookware and it works like magic, instantly removes any discoloration. I’m glad to hear about the other uses.

And I have always like Triscuits so I will look for those flavors - they sound great!

I had an undercounter water filter put in some years ago. Our water is the best, it tastes better than anything else. This is a super, highly rated filter: http://www.bestfilters.com/Multipure-Under-Sink-Water-Filter-System_p_571.html They also make an above counter version.

Baby Foot Foot Peel? Tell me more! I have awful feet.

Nutella. Really.

I want to try it, too!

I haven’t tried the Baby Foot but I have a really good foot file, stronger than the ones in the drugstores, and it has replaceable peel-and-stick file parts. Looks like this and I did get it at a Sally’s:

First, I would use a callous razor on really bad parts. Then, the stronger foot file side, then the milder side. Works like a charm!

Bar Keeper’s Friend is very good but Cameo is better. They make one for steel/aluminum and one for copper.

My favorite thing now is Cascade pods for the dishwasher. I’ve spilt so much Cascade over the years I don’t even feel guilty about paying a bit more for the pods.

turbie twist hair towel wraps!!!

I give Bar Keeper’s Friend a thumbs up too.

Things that make me happy: (more for the cooler months)

Adagio Teas’ ingenuiTEA and utiliTEA kettle (I’m trying to drink green tea for the health benefits)

I use Bon Ami instead of Bar Keeper’s Friend but I like it. I also use Color Catchers as well-- great product that allows you to combine loads of laundry that would not normally be washed together.

I really like Fresh Wave Crystal Gel air freshener. It works wonders on pet odors, funky closet odors, onion/garlic odors in the kitchen, or whatever you are dealing with. It’s a passive absorptive air freshener and does not have an overwhelming perfumy smell. It lasts about a month. It’s great. I use my 20% off coupons to buy it at Bed Bath and Beyond but you can also buy it on Amazon.

@Lergnom, those pods are great, but be careful. Somehow my H wound up with it squirting out at him once. Quite a site. Barkeepers friend is great. I also like Method laundry, hand, and dish soap.
