Europe for grad school - advice on logistics, packing, finances, taxes, medical, etc

My son and his fiancee just moved from northern France to Warsaw, Poland, where she will be working for Google. They had to bring all their stuff with them on the plane! So room was at a premium, and then they were surprised when Google sent her a company laptop in France, so they had to lug that along, too. It will be interesting to see what it’s like to live in Warsaw these days. They said an Uber ride from the airport to the center of the city was only $10. Apartment prices have gone up some since the influx of refugees, but they’re still much cheaper than France.

I have a dear friend from B-school who spent his career doing Eastern European private equity investing. He has a second home in Warsaw as his company is based there and loves it. Leaves the UK to spend every summer there.
