Evaluate my Schedule

Hey guys, I think my schedule may be too heavy. What do you think of having math 53, chem 4b, an ethnic studies AC class, a reading and comp class, and a seminar? It's 17 units in total. Should I drop one or take one of them on a pass/not pass basis? Can you do that with AC and R&C classes?

It doesn't really seem too bad if you just make sure you don't fall behind early on. Sounds like a typical College of Chemistry students courselist minus Physics. Or a College of Engineering kid with Chem instead of Physics.

I'm pretty sure you're allowed to take R&C and AC as P/NP if you want.

Take AC P/NP but its best not to take R&C P/NP since many majors require that it be taken for a grade. You'll have to ask your major advisor about R&C.

I just looked up the policy for taking classes pass/not pass and it says you can't fulfill R&C, quantitative reasoning, and foreign language p/np. It doesn't mention whether or not you can take AC p/np though.

American Cultures is fulfilled with either a P or any passing letter grade. This is from the American Cultures Website.
