Evaluations

Hello. I'm facing a little dilemma here.

I am torn between two teachers, Teacher A and Teacher B, to request my Humanities/Social Sciences evaluation from.

Teacher A is the head of the social studies department, having taught for 15 years or so. I had him in class for AP Government. I was one of his favorite students.

Teacher B has been a teacher for two years. Her hook is that she graduated from MIT herself. She is new to our school system, and consequently unfamiliar with me, but my performance in her class has resulted in her liking me as well. She is also the coach of the school's math club, in which I participate.

Which evaluation will be more effective? The teacher who has taught longer or the new teacher that graduated from MIT? Please elaborate on your answers.

Thanks in advance.

You’ll be best off with the teacher that knows you best and will have the most interesting, unique, and specific things to say about you.

If the two teachers have very different things to say about you, have one turn in a supplemental recommendation. Otherwise, what lidusha said.

Also, who’s a better writer? Doesn’t matter if you’re a teacher’s all-time favorite student if he can’t write about you eloquently.
