i want to get an mba eventually but get an engineering degree first. should i get an engineering degree from a liberal arts college

You can get the engineering degree from any college you like. A number of engineers eventually go on for a MBA.

Yes! the liberal ed. requirements will help you learn to write and express your ideas well, and the engineering major will give you lots of technical expertise and train you in math and science. ALL will serve you very well for an eventual MBA and management-track positions. Be sure to get a few years of work under your belt before applying to the MBA program. Good luck to you!
