No school has 100% yield.

It tells me to apply for the honors program, does that mean i wasn't accepted into honors? Or does everyone have to apply?

Accepted! My D also accepted into College Honors Program!

I know no school has 100% yield, just theological prediction.. haha

Lolz ok, just checking.

It says something along the lines of based on your strong academic performance, you are eligible for the college honors program. Does that mean I am automatically in it or do I have to apply for it or sumthing?

No, it shows how competitive admissions are this year. Heerad had an overall strong application (SAT, GPA, ECs, awards, etc.). Heerad, however, was applying to a competitive program (bioE), so that was probably it.

I didn't get in. It was one of my top choices, but I can still hope for Berkeley and NYU. Also at lest if I don't get in anywhere else I can still go to UCSB -- still high up on my list. Congratulations to everyone who got in. Sorry to everyone else that didn't -- especially those of you that were more confident that you would get in.

ZOMG ZOMG ZOMG ROFL

I GOT IN!!!

ok, so if i get an invite to college honors day, does that mean i got into college honors program????

i am in. wowwww

When is the college honors Day?

"ok, so if i get an invite to college honors day, does that mean i got into college honors program????"

LOL, it's in the letter. Guess you were so excited to see the "Congratulations" at the top that you neglected to read the rest (I didn't read it until now... I danced around my apartment screaming). ;D

And YES. You're in the program! Congrats!

"Because of your superb academic performance, you are eligible for the Colleges Honors Program.

We invite you and your family to attend one of our College Honors Days, where you will meet in small groups to learn about campus life at UCLA and the enriched opportunities in the honors curriculum, including the Honors Collegium and student research. To view more information and RSVP for a College Honors Day and other special invitation-only events, please click on the "You're Invited!" link on the left hand side of this page."

For people who are in the honor's program, is this what your acceptance letter said?

Or is this like "Oh hey, you might be good enough for this but you have to apply"

YAy accepted!! horray!!

I got in!! I almost had a heart attack when I signed in, but I'm so very glad that I was accepted. Finally, I don't have to refresh the admission decision page over and over and over again. Finally.

my first rejection!! whatever, i'm out of state.

REJECTED. Oh well, I didn't have high expectations with a 3.6 UC GPA. Congrats to those that did get in.

congratulations!!! lol, i got in too.

i got the honors program thing too, and i was doing some research on it. so for those of you that were wondering, the ucla website only says you qualify for it, but you still have to apply.
