At all of the other college pages I look at everyone is FREAKING OUT (including myself) about getting in and what day we’re going to hear. On the Amherst page though, everyone seems so calm! Am I the only Amherst applicant who is about to have a nervous breakdown? On all my other college sites posters have even researched last years boards to figure out what day we’ll hear. I can’t focus on my homework at all I’m so nervous. College admissions is hell on earth!

oh, don't worry...I am suffering just as much as you are..

in fact, I periodically experience fits of muscle spasms, and I am COMPLETELY obsessed with CC. It's not at all healthy.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one obsessed with CC. I come on here many times a day looking for any little tidbit of information to keep me going until I get some real news. By the way, on the princeton review it says that Amherst RD notification date is 4/5. What's that about? They better not be trying to make me wait any longer!

on collegeboard, it says its 4/5

Yo yo, chill girl. It's spring! Where I live there's flowers in bloom and my cat is happily scratching the neighbor's trees. Life shouldn't be compromised because of a college decision--it's such a wonderful life here in general. Hell would be North Korea.

Think Zen. Peace out.

Lol, tkm256, I loved your North Korea comment. For some reason, it made me chuckle a little. (I'm horrible for laughing at the state of another country...)

I'm starting to have an unhealthy obsession with CC too. I keep thinking that someone on one of the boards might say, "OMG, _________ COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY JUST RELEASED THEIR DECISIONS!" Yeah, this needs to stop.

Lol, I know it's silly, but what can I say I'm an addict. I'm positive that in about 9 days I'm going to think this whole thing was really pretty funny. But in the mean time however...

I am going crazy as well. I have gotten into other schools but I absolutely adored Amherst when I visited and it is still one of my top choices. I am absolutely freaking out and my friends would tell you so. Don't worry; only a few more days and then we will all know!

I'm just as anxious; the wait seems interminable...
I'm not too hopeful though...good luck everyone!

i think we've all been addicted. but it's okay. it's healthy. g'luck everyone. amherst site actually says 4/1 though. i'm not sure about online decisions, but for sure the snail mail will be mailed out on april fool's day

As far as I am aware there are no online decisions

don't worry, not calm. Not calm at all.

same! so nervous and this site is my new best friend. i have been accepted at a few other places but my top choice was knocked out yesterday and i actually thought i had a better chance there than i do here or at williams so im not holding out too much hope. Good luck to the rest of you!

ha i pretty much spent all day on this site. But I got rejected from my top choice, and i'm feeling a little hopeless about everywhere else. no chance at amherst anymore, in any case.

I agree Pongo.

The mail just came, with nothing of interest in it for me....this is driving me insane!!!!

same here. I JUST WANT MY REJECTION, and not tomorrow, when everyone is around to see it.

my mailbox was disappointingly empty again as well. I haven't really ranked my top-choice colleges yet, yet I can't help feeling like Amherst may top my list. I CAN'T TAKE THE WAIT ANY LONGER! If I'm going to be let down, I wish they would just break the news to me already, lol!

Depending on where you live, I would guess you should find out soon. I live in CT, 45 min. away, and got my good news from Amherst today!

Congratulations, picco! Where else have you gotten in?
