<p>It references a study that shows that Ivy-accepted kids who instead, for a multitude of personal reasons, chose to attend a “moderately selective school” are earning just as much 20 years after graduation as the Ivy accepted kids who matriculated at an Ivy. I would assume “moderately selective” means USNWR 20-70 or so on the Uni side, and 10-30 or so on the LAC side. There are of course other measures of success, but the one I see most cited is that the Ivy degree opens lucrative employment doors other schools do not.</p>
