...and the vicious arguments over W&M versus UVA versus W&L (1000's of posts over that one...), along with people who constantly question schools like Rice, Georgetown, Tufts, Northwestern, etc. etc b/c they aren't Ivies.

And did I mention the vicious arguments over W&M versus UVA versus W&L? lol ^_^

LOL, yeah I was rolling my eyes at that one like when is this ever going to stop?

It's weird. At my school, I'm considered intelligent. Here...everybody does all of this amazing stuff, while still having a perfect GPA and ACT/SAT scores most people would DIE for...and are told they aren't good enough for Harvard, saying stuff like "take the SAT again, you need a 760+ in Math..."

I've gained lots of great information here at CC and am grateful for its existence. I wish more parents and students could recognize that you can get an excellent and often better education at a non-Ivy institution, and that more students would choose a school for how well its fits them, not for the brand name. Of course we all know plenty of underachievers who went to Harvard and Yale and plenty with great careers and lives who went to a state university.

(going to a university where 1300 of the freshman class were valedictorian?! honestly, it sounds like the atmosphere might be a little obnoxious)

If you notice something....less than 10% of CCers play sports and are good at them, so the other 90%+ should rot in hell for their dumb comments ;-)

I especially love it when people make fun of great colleges like Tufts, Cornell, Columbia, ect... when they haven't even applied to college yet. I just picture them recieving all of these rejection letters because they think that college admission is an easy game. I was thinking how much better my life has become post-admissions process vs. during it because I was constantly stressed and thought about it a ton (before finding cc...THANK GOD lol). I am so happy now that admissions is over and I think that I am going to have a great life. People need to put things into perspective and not let CC take advantage of them.

o ya and about that small school thing. I got one of the very top SAT scores in my grade but then when I go to cc I see that...well you understand. When people at my school are like WOW at my score I just think of CC and then I realize how tainted I am. At least it helps me motivate rising seniors who are my friends to do really well in the admissions process!
