Exactly how well is Dartmouth represented on Wall street?

Not in comparison to Harvard, Princeton, and Wharton but in comparison to schools like Columbia, Penn, and Brown. Better, same, or worse?

It is recognized as a pipeline!

I’d say among non-HPW and maybe SM it is the top.

Probably the best school after HYP (and Stanford, MIT).

I graduated Dartmouth a few years ago and am actually surprised by how often I meet Dartmouth grads in the finance and consulting worlds, considering how small the school is. I was talking to a Thayer grad (Engineering school) recently and he said all the major venture-capitalist groups he works with have at least one Dartmouth grad. I can’t compare vs. other schools, but I am 100% sure you’ll get a job on Wall St coming out of Dartmouth with good grades and interviews. In my current position, my colleagues hail from Yale, Harvard, MIT, Penn (Wharton), etc. and my Dartmouth degree has been as well received. Dartmouth is smaller than other schools, but its alumni network is much more active (albeit less robust).

I would make your school decision based on other factors (if you don’t like winter, and like big cities, I wouldn’t recommend Dartmouth despite its excellent academics and reputation. You’ll probably hate it).

If I wanted to get a job on Wall street, What would be the best major/minor combination??

Econ and Applied Math.
