Exam Horror Stories/Mishaps

I skipped a bubble on the Bio SAT II...and didn't notice until 15 questions later.

Still got a 760.

There was this one girl who was scribbling all over her test booklet. She would cross off each answer choice one by one, and it was so annoying. She finished the section in like five minutes!

Haha, I wonder what she got...

I literally have the WORST exam horror story. My proctor, who was a middle-aged crazy women, was so hostile to everyone in the room. I was taking the Math IIC, and as she was reading the directions, her face began to turn a hot pink color. It was completly obvious that she was having a severe case of hot flashes. She began sweating, and while she was in the middle of the directions, she said "Oh, I'm sorry guys, I have posion ivy on my face. It's so hot in here, let me open up all of the windows. One second please." Haha, the rest of the test went fine though.

AlexMartin, that takes balls.

I've got two PSAT/SAT/SAT2 horror stories.
1.) First, let me just say that my high school is actually a hallway, with about eight classrooms, and a gym at the end. I don't think that the entire school, from front to back, is any more than 100 feet. As I was taking my PSAT's (October 2004), I heard someone LOUDLY screaming and cursing from the gym. It turned out that someone who wasn't taking the test had popped their knee out of its socket while playing basketball. When the ambulance drivers got there, they spent half an hour discussing which hospital they were going to take him to, right outside the room where I was taking the test. Finally, the ambullance drivers left, but then two police officers came to the school, saying that some girl at the school had called 911 and said that someone had threatened to stab her when she left school (very, very unlikely that the girl was telling the truth). Although the cops quickly realized that the girl's story was bull, one of them spent another half hour flirting with a teacher directly outside the classroom where I was taking the test.
2.) The College Board "LOST" my SATII Math Level 2 test. They finally found it two months after everyone else got their scores for that test, then proceeded to take another week to grade it and tell me my score.

I guess my stories aren't as bad as some people's, because I ended up getting a 220 on the PSAT's, which will make me a National Merit Finalist (probabley), and an 800 on the math (I thought that was what I would get, so that's why I was so ****ed my they "LOST" my test).

Oh my, I have to give my condolences to you metsfan. That has to be the ultimate exam horror story. I'm curious where you go to school. There aren't many high schools in NYC that are that small. Is it one of those new high schools?

It's a really small high school in Queens (the graduating class was about 50 this year, and most students drive past it on their first day a few times, since there are a bunch of warehouses on the block, and everybody thinks the school is a warehouse). Also, it isn't very new, I think it's been around since at least the late 70's. Although the curriculum of the school isn't at all challenging, I like that it's small, and the lack of tons of schoolwork gives me time to do other stuff, such as studying for SAT's, PSAT's, and SATII's.

i agree with the hot chick one

When I was taking the SAT II's the administrators had forgotten to turn the bells off the day before. Needless to say it was very annoying when the bells kept going off every twenty minutes or so. Finally the proctar called the school secretary and had the bells turned off. I also had friends taking the actual SAT I and they did not even get out until 2:30 because they could not start until the bells had been turned off. Than the year before during the PSAT the fire alarm went off so everyone had to go out in the blowing snow. Finally last year when we were taking the AP U.S. History exam ETS lost three pages to one of my friends essays so she still does not have a score yet!!!

ha i was taking a kaplan's practice test at a local university, and there was like a group of 20 people outside waiting for their class to start. needless to say, i was doing CR and couldn't concentrate at all.
