Im currently a sophomore at a decent sized intense college prep high school (about 920 kids in the school). I have a 4.25 gpa, but no AP classes (they are extremely hard to get into). I haven't taken the ACT yet, but I will later this year. Unfortunatly I have no extra curriculares, absolutely none. None of my school's clubs appeal to me (as most are religious), and where I live there aren't a lot of volunteering opportunities for people under 18. In my free time I mostly just do "independent study". I like to watch open college courses on subjects ranging from economics to psychology. I also play electric guitar but not at school, I don't go to church so that isn't an option either. So basically I do all these things but they don't count as extracurriculares. Assuming I do good on the ACT and keep up my excellent gpa, can I get into a decent college?

What are you talking about, “these aren’t extracurriculars?”. If you value your time doing these things then to you they are extracurriculars. I program in my free time (i also do independent study in cs and other subjects) and i put that down as an activity. If you need to express this even more to a college there is an “Additional information” section usually where you could explain your situation. Dont lose hope yet!
