Exeter Application: Should I call to confirm all parts arrived?

Or is it too early?

You should have a user name and pw to check progress on their Lions links connection. Go to the admissions page and click on Lion links on the left. Enter your personal id and you should get a list. The piles of data do take time to enter, so don’t sweat it if there appears to be anything missing. They will notify you if they need anything.

I actually received an email from Exeter that confirmed the completion of my application.

Thanks, Rellielou!

unique;
what date did you finish your application?

I finished everything a couple of days before the 15th. I got the email on the 17th I believe.

Thanks.

Should I email my interviewer? I’m starting to get a bit paranoid…

Enough, already! Exeter has 1000’s of applications to process. When they get to yours, you’ll get an email with your Lion Links login info. At that point, you’ll have an answer and you won’t need to call them. Before then, they won’t have an answer, so there’s no point in calling them.

If you were one of a dozen applicants, it would be different, but you’re not. So, hard as this sounds: RELAX.

By the way, the confirmation email just confirms that online applications have been received. Any parts that were mailed separately do not get that kind of prompt acknowledgement.

Sorry - my mistake! The email mentioned earlier does confirm receipt of a mailed application . . . but I’m not sure it says anything about the application being complete.

I really wouldn’t worry! I sent a lot of my application materials in November, so that’s probably why I got an email so early! Also, the email I received stated explicitly that my application was COMPLETE. I must have received a different email than you! I faxed my parent statement a couple of days before the deadline, so that’s why I mentioned that I completed my app only a few days before the 15th. I’m sorry if I worried you!

dodgersmom;
Thanks for the advice! Haha, I can just imagine them poring over papers right now…that’s why I was thinking of waiting.

I see. It’s okay, you didn’t worry me, I just got scared for no real reason. Perhaps they send out different emails?

I get where you’re coming from. Deerfield hasn’t “received” my graded essay yet, but I’m not too worried. I sent it by Certified Mail, and Andover received the one I sent them. I guess I’ll just wait until February before having any panic attacks. :-)

i’ve just been using my “my andover” account to see what has been sent in and all… and i am glad to say that everything is in now, so i don’t have to pester my teachers on recommendations or anything!!! :D

Don’t call yet. Use the online resources to check at this point.
