Exeter or Loomis?

I’m having trouble deciding. Disregarding “rankings” or prestige, which would be best to go to?

I don’t think I do well under pressure, and the (one?) fear i have about Exeter is not being able to keep up.

I like both of their campuses and students at each school seem very nice.

However, I would like to be academically challenged and be prepared for college and the future.

If i went to Exeter, i would likely not perform as well as others. would that affect my future?

Loomis also seems rigorous, but I might be able to keep up there. It seems that there is less competition, though i am not sure.

The clubs at Exeter are very interesting, and i’m more familiar with Exeter. however, i do not know much about Loomis, therefore I cannot compare.

I like loomis’ size and their writing programs. Exeter’s programs for all subjects seem great too! I am not sure if i’d be regretting not going to Exeter if i attend Loomis, and vice versa.

What should I do? I’d really appreciate any feedback. Thank you!

It seems like you think Loomis is the best fit for you but are worried that turning down the prestige of Exeter is a foolish choice.

Go to the school that you truly feel is the best fit.

Well, if you are looking for challenges, then Exeter. Exeter is way too big for a lot of kids. There is no any structure and hands on approach. You are basically on your own all the time. Nobody will pay attention to you. If you are a kid who is really good at time management and self driven, I think Exeter is for you. If you still need some guidance from teachers and adults, then I think Loomis will offer you a better support system. I love the Loomis campus which is very easy to manage. I have a kid at Exeter who is socially doing well, but academically he needs to keep up…
