For most of these schools it is almost a self selection process.

When we visted Amherst, and signed in they sent us the subsequent application for the SOCOH. Consists of transcript sat, scores ad essay. If you get selected to go you have a 70% chance of being admitted.

Most you just request information on the school's website.

She visted Williams 3x on them. Once over the summer, once in the fall and when she got admitted. We knew very little about williams before she went, she just requested info from their website.

Destination Dartmouth is an application process. If you are selected you also have a 70% chance of being admitted. Application consists of transcript-junior year, essay, sat scores. requested info from the school's website. You should call them because the deadline for applications is at the end of the month. Their trip is the end of July, no fall trips.

Oberlin, tufts, & Bryn Mawr, just request info from their website. Their trips are in the fall.

Mount Holyoke has a preview program in the fall (request info from their website) There is no application fee if you apply on line. they are very good with supplying you with information.

In addtion, D also attended info session when schools visted in our area.

Barnard also has one, but we live in NYC so she just took the train there.

Daughter really did not want to apply to a school that she did not have an opportunity to visit/spend the night. In the end she applied to Dartmouth, Williams, Amherst, Bryn Mawr, Tufts, Barnard and Mount Holyoke (accepted every where). maticulated at Dartmouth. Is even considering going back on their Destinantion Dartmouth trip as a guide.

Note: Leonesa can vouch, the Williams adcom team are the nicest people you will ever meet. If they invite you, they really get to know you. I was really impressed that when I came up for their admitted students days, that they did remember her.

Go for it you have nothing to loose as it is important to know what you don't want in a school just as much as knowing what you do want. so go for it. Good luck.
