So ive been placed in expos this semester because I want to complete it. My professor is Melissa Parrish. Does anyone know if she is an easy professor or difficult. Is she picky? Anything about her will help. Also, does anyone know any professors that were easy for expos. Thanks a lot

The truth is, it really does not matter who the professor is. Do you want to learn how to write the correct way, or breeze through it and come out with nothing. Then…you get into the workforce and you encounter a co worker with outstanding writing skills getting all the perks and you say to yourself…gee maybe I should have took the more strict professor who really wanted me to know how to write.

You want to think of reality when you are in college, not who is the easiest professor. Thinking like this will put you miles ahead of the bunch.

The writing professors often change. There are a lot of them. Many are newer.

It may be good to know that your writing portfolio/your instructors grades are also reviewed by another group of graders. This is to prevent someone from grading you unfairly or inconsistently.

Biggest tips for Expos (as my son took it) go to class, listen to the tips and hints instructor gives you, and do the reading early. Start your writing early. Take your time to read the assigned text very carefully so you can respond appropriately to the instructor’s questions.

There really aren’t many shortcuts if you want to learn to write well, and you will have that skill forever. Expos is a bit formulaic but if you follow the program you will become a better writer.
