For EC's, how far does an EC generally count as good (Ex: Top 10% in your state)
I play chess in which my rating is around 1800 USCF (For those who don't know that it's around top 10% ish of all the chess players in the US)
I play violin, I am first chair in my orchestra, but is it necessary for me to audition for county/state orchestras for my EC to have some weight.

Thanks

Anything is good. Getting to a state or national level is better, but it isn’t going to hurt you if you don’t.

Thanks for your reply. I was wondering generally what level do you have to achieve in order for your EC to be considered a factor of acceptance. Obviously, if I just started playing basketball and I put it on my application, that wouldn’t really matter towards if I was to get accepted or not.

It would have an impact. It just depends on your commitment.
