Would being a major contributor to a website count as an extracurricular(or more generally, is it worth mentioning)?

thank you garfieldliker for making this post and for understanding

i like Garfield too

umm think about it this way, if this EC has done a sig. impact on you then yes, put it… but you have to be more specific for me, like tell me what you have done, and tell me what the site is about.

thanks man…

if this is really important put it, because thats what admission officers are looking for important things you do in/out of school…

like if you run a poker ring online, chances are that might not be a good thing, so give me a little description about the site, your duties, etc.

Well, the website is Home | Axis & Allies .org Forums
That website is dedicated to discussing and playing a series of games collectively called Axis and Allies. I have played many games on it, but I have also contributed to it:
- I was one of the two users “deputized” by the official FAQ answerer to answer FAQs while he was away. I clarify rules and answer questions about the games.
- I also post about game strategies and critique others’ strategies.
- Finally(not sure if this matters), I am very passionate about this site and the game: I spend most of my free time on that site playing games, helping people with the rules, and discussing strategies.

Actually, maybe having some semi-official role could make it qualify. But, it better be balanced by some traditonal activities. Also, be careful not to create the impression that you are so devoted to this that you miss peer interaction or community involvement - ie, face-time. Colleges need kids willing to instruct or mentor- but more, they need kids who can interact away from the computer. Remember, adults will review your app.

lookingforward basically summed up my thoughts
colleges want a well rounded person, because thats what is best for thier school… they dont want book worms or game addicts (no offense) so if this is one EC, but the rest is like social etc. then i would say put
